I see this happen constantly.
A creator reaches out to a brand, gets no response,
and immediately assumes they’re too small.
However, that’s almost never the real reason.
What’s actually happening
Most outreach messages sound like this:
“Hi! I absolutely love your products and would love to work together! Please let me know if you’re interested!”
And just like that…
Gone.
Not read. Not considered. Deleted.
Not because the creator isn’t talented.
Instead, because that message gives the brand nothing useful.
No numbers.
No audience.
No reason to respond.
Meanwhile, brands get hundreds of these every week.
So naturally, they ignore anything that looks like everyone else.
What a brand actually needs to see
If you want a response, include this:
Who you are (in one sentence)
Not your life story.
👉 What you make
👉 Who it’s for
👉 Where you post
Your real numbers
Follower count doesn’t matter as much as you think.
Instead, show:
- engagement rate
- audience breakdown
- TikTok Shop GMV (if applicable)
Because those numbers tell a brand if you can sell.
Why their product fits your audience
Not “I love your brand.”
Instead, explain:
👉 Why your audience would actually buy it
For example:
“My audience is primarily US-based women ages 35–44 who actively purchase fragrance.”
That gets attention.
A clear ask
Be direct.
- Gifted?
- Paid collab?
- Retainer?
Vague emails get vague (or no) responses.
