TikTok Analytics can feel like a lot.
Numbers everywhere.
Graphs moving.
Percentages that don’t make sense.
Here’s the truth:
👉 You don’t need all of it
You need five numbers.
Those five numbers tell you everything that matters.
How to get to your Analytics
Open TikTok.
Tap:
Profile → Menu → Creator Tools → Analytics
That’s your dashboard.
Number 1: Video views
Go to the Overview tab.
Set it to:
👉 Last 28 Days
This shows your total reach.
To find your average:
- scroll to your recent videos
- take the last 10
- add views together
- divide by 10
👉 That’s your average views per video.
Number 2: Follower growth
Stay on the Overview tab.
Find:
👉 Net Followers
This tells you:
- positive → you’re growing
- negative → something is off
Check weekly.
Do not overreact daily.
Number 3: Average watch duration
Tap the Content tab.
Select a video.
Scroll to:
👉 Average Watch Duration
Now compare:
- video length vs watch time
Example:
- 60 second video
- 45 second average
👉 That’s strong performance
Number 4: Traffic source types
Stay on the same video.
Scroll to:
👉 Traffic Source Types
This shows:
- For You
- Search
- Profile
- Following
Now do this:
👉 screenshot your last 10 videos
Look for patterns.
Number 5: Audience demographics
Go to the Followers tab.
Scroll down.
You’ll see:
- gender split
- age ranges
- top countries
Screenshot this.
👉 This is what brands care about
What to do with this
Keep it simple.
Once per week:
- check all 5 numbers
- take screenshots
- save them
Create a folder called:
👉 Analytics
After 4 weeks:
👉 you’ll see patterns
And patterns = growth.
Your one action from this post
Open Analytics right now.
Check your last 5 videos.
Write down:
👉 average watch duration
That number matters more than you think.
